Children Reading the Holy Bible

About Us

Sudbury Community House and Early Learning Centre.  A place of community, a place of belonging and becoming, where people feel accepted, safe, and free to develop and grow.

Sudbury House Early Learning Centre has been operating since 1986 in the community of Mirrabooka. Our Early Learning centre is a non-funded, not for profit service.  We rely solely on our parent fees to operate.

Sudbury House early Learning Centre is committed to creating a learning environment where all children feel a sense of belonging. From birth, children demonstrate an enthusiasm to learn, explore, create, and possess an extreme curiosity about their world.

Our educational programs and practices respond to the children’s interests and scaffold their learning and development. With highly qualified and experienced educators tailoring learning programs to suit each child’s individual need.

Our  4 & 5 year old Kindergarten program is lead by a qualified Early Childhood Teacher.

We believe a sense of Belonging is critical to the positive health and wellbeing of every child and that this can only be achieved if we work in true partnership with families and community. Our aim is to support and strengthen those attachments and bonds whilst at the same time allowing children to bond and attach with educators and staff at their own pace.

We recognise that every child has their own unique rhythm and disposition and acknowledge their right to make choices, play and learn with others or alone, as their emotions and needs dictate.

We will teach in many ways to support the holistic development of each child to help them become confident learners. With encouragement, each child will be helped to practice and test their physical skills, whether they are learning to sit, crawl, walk, run or climb.

Our early childhood educators are passionate and determined to provide high-quality education and care in an environment that is safe and provides opportunities for exploration, play and learning. Their focus on staying up to date on the most current research on child development and educational practices ensure we offer an exceptional program for all our children.

Our core early learning educators hold a minimum Certificate III qualification, with most having completed a Diploma or higher qualification. Our Educational Leader and fully qualified Early Childhood Teacher work together to provide the educators with the tools to ensure children of all ages enjoy a meaningful, play-based educational program. This ensures that your child receives a strong foundation for their schooling journey.
